This weekend was so much fun, and filled with two big family Thanksgivings, and a fun trip to the Hands-on Museum. On Thanksgiving day, we headed first to my parents' house for a big feast. My grandparents were there, three of my brothers and their girlfriends, and my Aunt Becky, Uncle Gordie, and Katie. Luke just loved hanging out with the family, and has so much fun seeing all the people who love him. After dinner, my brothers, Uncle Gordie, and Katie headed outside for the annual Birmingham Football game. We got Luke all bundled up and headed out too. Luke watched the game for a minute, and then headed off walking in another direction - I guess it looked too fast for him! However, it definitely made a big impression because he is still talking about that game over a month later!
After fun at the Birmingham house, we went over to Dave's parents where we got to see all of his family. There were lots of Aunt's and Uncle's there for Luke to play with, and he got lots of love and attention. His Aunt Lynn and cousin Allison gave Luke lots of dancing and hugging time, which made Luke crack up. He spent some quality time hanging out on the couch and talking with Uncle Rick, which was too cute to watch. Then, Aunt Susan and Stephanie read to Luke, and he cuddled up with them. All of the cousins were so much fun to be with, and Luke just circled the house seeing what everyone was up to. Luke's Aunt Mary was still in Thailand, so we Skyped with her and got to say hello. She was so missed, but we are all so excited for the amazing adventure she is having.
Later that weekend, Luke's Uncle Josh and Uncle Jon came over and we all headed to the Hands-on Museum. Josh was supposed to fly out to Thailand, but because of the political situation there, his flight was canceled so he was waiting to hear if he would be able to go. It was such a bummer, and it never worked for him to get there, but Luke thought the visit was all about him. At the Museum, Luke loved the nature room, running after Jon and Josh, and especially the water table. Dave was so cute playing at the water table with Luke, and it was great to see them get to hang out there. Luke also got up on a table of trains and cracked us all up moving the trains around. It was a great weekend to be with family, and we were so grateful for all of the fun times that Luke had.
