Halloween was so much fun this year. Luke really was starting to get the hang of what was going on, and has a new appreciation for CANDY! Luke picked out a dinosaur costume this year, and really enjoyed wearing it and roaring around the house. We went on Friday to the Ann Arbor District Library storytime again this year. Luke did great! He was a bit quiet with all the crowd, but we did arrive early so we got to sit up front which he really liked. He also loved parking in the parking garage - who knows why! He liked seeing all the kids in their costumes, and really liked the scary ones like skeletons and ghosts. Grammy Janet has been reading him a cute pop-up story about ghosts and mummies, and he has really grabbed onto this subject matter. He is starting to talk more about his fears, and can talk about how ghosts are scary. That night, we carved pumpkins as a family. Luke had his own little pumpkin, which was sooooo cute! We had a great time, and Luke just loved seeing what we made.
Halloween with trick or treating was on a Sat. this year, so that worked out great! We all went out as a family and just walked up and down our street. Luke got candy, and thought this was fantastic! He loved getting suckers and granola bars. He also kept quoting the Charlie Brown line and saying, "I got a rock!" He made us laugh so much. He was pretty shy at the doors, but always said thank you when he got the candy. He really was so cute, and we were so excited to watch him.
