Up to Manistee!

For the long weekend before the 4th of July, we took Luke on his first trip to Manistee. We had a great time being with the whole Elgas clan, and Luke got a chance to spend some quality time meeting Uncle Josh. Although we had some sunny days, the weather was pretty cool at times. We took Luke down to the beach to watch his Daddy fish; we walked down the pier to the lighthouse to watch the sunset (in our winter clothes because it was so cold!); and, we took Luke to go see the Eagles. For most of the weekend, we just sat around and watched what Luke would do next. All in all, a great time was had by all!

Luke spent a lot of time in the car, and did great on the long trip.

Here is Luke and I enjoying the beautiful scenes of the Manistee Condo.

Daddy and Luke got to spend some quality time together.

Luke really enjoyed getting to meet Uncle Josh, who soon gave in to Luke's request for the remote control.

Here's Luke getting to spend some quality time with Uncle Jon.

Grandma Janet bounces Luke to sleep (this kid requires constant motion!).

Here is the happy Little Elgas Family on our walk to go see the Eagle. Dave carried Luke who either fussed or slept through the whole thing.

On our last night, we all took a walk out on the pier to watch the sunset. I know from the picture you might think it was November, but really, this was July! We bundled Luke up in a bunch of blankets, but I of course still worried that the wind would blow his stroller right into Lake Michigan!
