Goin' on a Road Trip

This weekend was soooo much fun for Luke and I. We went on a roadtrip to Pittsburgh and Cleveland. It worked out really great, and Luke was a trooper in the car. On Friday, we drove down to Cleveland to pick up Rosa, and Luke got to play with Mrs. Kang. Mrs. Kang was so adorable with Luke, and she had him giggling and squirming all around. Next, we drove to Pittsburgh to my friend Kavi's apartment. Her and her husband Keerthi were so sweet and gave us such a warm welcome! We had a great time hanging out with them, and seeing their new place. Luke did pretty good really, and slept well and everything. The next day, we all went to see my friend Alison at the Concept Art Gallery where she works. The gallery was amazing, and it was so nice to see Alison there. All of the people who work with her were also really sweet, and it is an amazing space! Next we had a great lunch, and just had a nice time hanging out. After that, Kavi and I drove around so that Luke and Rosa could have a nap (LOL). We headed to Kaveri's parent's house, and Luke got to play there with her mom, dad, and her sister and her sister's fiance. Luke also loved their dog, and kept watching everywhere the dog went. It was sooo cute! At the end of the afternoon, Luke was exhausted, and just about fell asleep in Mrs. Chengappa's arms :-)

After we headed back to Kaveri's apartment, Luke got another treat and his Aunt Katie and her boyfriend Joe came over for a visit. Katie brought the cutest present with her, and Luke tried to score lots of baskets. Alison and her husband Paul came over after work, and one of Rosa's friends too. It was such a nice get-together, and so fun to all get to hang out in a new city!

The next day, we headed back to Cleveland, dropped off Rosa (with a quick playtime with Mrs. Kang), and then headed to Aunt Debbie's house! This was so much fun, and Deb and Butch always make us feel so welcome when we visit. There were tons of Aunt's and Uncle's and cousins for Luke to play with, and he was living it up! His Grandma Janet was there too! Luke was so cute with everyone, and you could just tell that he was so excited to be there. Luke got to meet his cousins Zak, Cassidy, Kole, and Tristan, and it was super fun to watch them all together. Cassidy fed Luke for me which was a huge help (!), and Aunt Lynn chased Tristan while holding Luke which had Luke in absolute stitches. He really enjoyed hanging with his cousins, and they all wore him out really well so that he slept all night for me! Luke also got to meet Butch, Mike, Kim, and Marybeth and just being with our family was so special. Luke is truly so lucky to have so many people who love and care about him. Aunt Mary rode home with us the next day, and helped Luke make it (I think he was done with riding in the car!). All in all it was a wonderful trip, and seeing so many wonderful friends and family was just the getaway that we needed.

Here are our part 1 pictures from the trip. I couldn't believe it, but my camera broke on Sunday, so I don't have a lot of pictures from Debbie's house. Lynn has some good ones for me, so I'll get those soon and post them for you. Enjoy!
